Laser & Skin Therapy
"My skin looks brighter and more even toned, it's softer and more radiant"
Miss Hughes, Toddington
Skin Rejuvenation
IPL systems release precisely controlled, short pulses of filtered light. This light stimulates the fibroblast cells within the skin that produce collagen and elastin. In addition, specific lesions such as thread veins, age spots and freckles can be targeted, resulting in a more uniform complexion. The skin becomes firmer, appears more radiant and enlarged pores are reduced. An Nd:Yag Laser may be selected to target deeper lines and to promote further collagen stimulation.
A mild peel is sometimes carried out prior to treatment. This exfoliates the skin, removing the top layers of dead skin to maximise results and leave the skin feeling smooth and soft (see Illumi Facial). A thin layer of gel is applied to the area to guide the light into the skin. A short pulse of light is released and the handpiece is moved onto the neighbouring section until the entire area is treated.
This is a treatment suited to those who are aiming to reverse the signs of ageing. It gives the skin a fresh and more youthful appearance, whilst addressing common issues such as red veins and uneven skin tone. The skin can feel warm and be a little red post treatment, but a cooling device can be used throughout to help alleviate any negative side effects.
We recommend a course of three to six treatments, three to four weeks apart. You can combine these treatments with Dermalux LED for even more amazing results! A full personal treatment plan would be devised for you during your consultation. Improvements in the skin should increase over the following months as new collagen is produced within the dermis. Prices start from £90 for these fantastic treatments!
A full consultation and a patch test will be carried out prior to treatment. Please be aware that we can't treat suntanned skin.
